The Franklin Twp. Youth Wrestling Club is starting practice on Nov. 3. This early start is usually for the experienced kids that intend on wrestling in tournaments throughout the year. These practices are usually very fast paced and the kids will be put through some intense physical conditioning. Keep in mind, football shape is not comparable in no way to wrestling shape. The conditioning is not even comparable.
Travis trains year round, in fact he was leaving football practice at the new middle school and going to Roncalli high school for wrestling practice. He also trained at Roncalli through out the summer. He is now focusing on weight training along with wrestling practices. He goes to the township schools and will in high school as well. He will also do club stuff at FC. We can`t pass up the opportunity to get training from Coach Ellis at Roncalli. Coach Ellis is a four time State Champion from Cathedral high school. He also wrestled for IU. Coach Ellis runs a fine wrestling club where you can contact him on Yahoo. Indy Southside Wrestling.
The usual club practice will start later in the year when Coach Fox finishes up the high school season. He usually runs club for beginners and introduces them to wrestling fundamentals with out the conditioning it takes to compete or be competetive. All are welcome to start now but I want you to understand the differances in the practices. I don`t want your kids to get burnt out on the sport before they get an introduction to it. We hope to see you there.
