Regarding the posting concerning vehicle breakin/theft?
There was also a truck breakin in the 300 block of North 41st on Sunday night.

A neighbor has noticed a guy on a skate board who comes down from Michigan Street casing streets and alleys very late at night, 11, midnight or so.
He also has been seen with a bag of beer and drinking it in the Valley Park at about this same time of night. He also hangs around the MPS building on St. Paul Ave. His behavior is very odd. He talks to himself and throws temper tantrums. He seems to be disturbed or high. The possible connection to the breakins is he told a kid (younger) at the Valley Park that he has a remote of somekind and likes to breakin to vehicles.

This guy is about 18 years old, very scruffy looking. White, about 5'& or 8 inches tall, wears baggy cargo pants, hooodies, and gloves. Has a layered shaggy haircut to the ears or below. His hair is dark in color.

He is stand-offish with kids more his age in the area, but seems to like hanging with young kids.

Keep your eyes out if you see this guy, try and see what he's up to. If he seems suspicious call police. The District 3 Laison Officer Cupsik has this information and has said he would alert area squad officers.

Break Ins

This guy has been around since this past summer. We would sit on our porch or walk throughout the neighborhood and he would come by on his skate board and just continue to stare at you until you finally had to look and than he would either nod his head or wave and yes very weird and very much on something. The last time we noticed him in the neighborhood was about 2 weeks ago, but did not see him doing anything out of the ordinary. We will definately keep our eyes open for him and anything strange going on. And I as a parent of young children am a little concerned of the fact that this guy tends to hang out with the younger children rather than children his age, especially while talking about breaking into others personal property.

Update

The suspicious guy on the skateboard was arrested in the last few days. The only charge police
could level against him was riding a play vehicle in the roadway. Police
brought him to District Three and questioned him. He denies being
involved in any crimes. Police believe that he is mentally challanged (as some neighbors do. At this
time police cannot connect him to any criminal behavior though. Police squads
are aware of him and will be keeping an eye out.
