The reason you hear about weed every time we have a HOA Meeting is because nothing is getting resolved. I to have been to every meeting and yes weeds are brought up. But when you have board member tell the HOA member that there is nothing they can do,other that suggesting we go and talk to your neighbors. but when the house has no one living in it then who are you to talk to? I know some of us are tired of hearing about the weeds but,  when we see nothing is getting done and it is getting worse of course that is what you are going to hear, So until the HOA BOARD MEMBER who we elected start showing some progress then you are going to hear about the weeds. And I don't  mean by telling us to go and pull the neighbors weed or some of the other excuse we have heard in the pass. But WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!. After all I don't  think one week -end is going to solve this problem it is like putting a band-aid on a bigger problem......

Now as for the landscaper I was on my walk the other day and saw them working on Simington in the common area and near the street. Today I went by and still I saw where they missed allot of weeds, and I don't have time running down the workers to tell them where they misses some weed. after all we pay them enough to make sure they get all the weed not just a few. But I am happy to see they finally  got to the weed on Schnepf  Road that was really looking bad.

You have time to be calling real estate companies to tell them about the bad front yards but you can't flag down one of the gardeners when you walk or drive past them to bring to their attention that there are some weeds popping up?  In their defense weeds are a MAJOR problem out here and can grow in 2-3 days and more pop up on a daily basis.

Secondly, maybe if EVERYONE in the subdivision paid their dues the Board would have enough funds to pay a landscaping company to clean up the yards that are not being kept up.  Because many many many homes do not pay their dues the funds aren't as high as they should be in order to do things like that.  There are A LOT of problems, more than just weeds.  It irritates me that I pay my dues but Joe Snuffy next door to me doesn't and yet still gets the luxury of paid trash service, clean common areas, street lights, etc.  Unfortunately with the new laws coming into play tying the hands of HOA's less and less can be done to remedy problems.

If the funds aren't as high as they should be how can we afford a $10k sun shade in the common areas???

Well at least I am doing something, just on my street alone I have cleaned up 3 homes that were vacant by calling the agents that are handling the homes so that is 3 less we have to clean up, And I don't think it is my job to be a supervisor  to the landscapers they have a boss maybe he should come out and recheck his workers. After all they are here everyday  all day and when they just left that area you would think it would be free of a least most of the weed. I know they grow fast but come on one day.

And you are right weeds are a major problem out here and they do pop out daily so like I said one-week end is not going to fix this problem, so I think maybe the comunity  should put there head together and come up with a better solution than a week-end weed pull cause the rate they are growing we are going to be right back to this problem again in a month.......
