Tom with the safe dams program finally gave me the name of the engineering firm drawing up the plans to repair the dam. Schnabel Engineering 770-781-8008, Randy Bass.
I spoke with Randy who said once they finish the plan options for the dam repair, the developer has to approve an option, then submit it to the state who also has to approve it. Randy guessed that work ''may'' begin on the dam between August 06 and Spring 07. Randy mentioned one option is to make the lake deeper. He also mentioned that the developer may send out letters to the homeowners surrounding the lake to 1) Inform us of the dam/lake progress and 2) Get our feedback regarding the lake. I gave my contact info to Randy to pass on to the developer as a liason to facilitate communication.
