It has come to my attention that the owners of the rental units on Colorado Boulevard are considering applying for allowance of Section 8 tenants in their units. From the owners economic standpoint, it is a cash flow boon as the Denver Housing Authority allows up to $1,509 per month. However, from the neighborhood standpoint, the type of tenants that qualify for this program may be undesirable for the neighborhood.
