Good day Westhaven Commons Homeowners, 
We are going through a lot of new changes...as of Nov. 3, 2010...we have signed contracts--2010 to 2011 snow removal, lawn care, changed community Insurance from Nationwide Mutual to Traveler's Insurance--reasons will be explained at our annual budget meeting TBA. (Note: everyone will be receiving coverages packets to give to your mortgage company's by early December.) Our contact representative at Traveler's Insurance will be posted on our Community website early December once everyone has been mailed their welcoming letters. Also, a contract for pond care for 2011 season signed with ASAP Aquatics
Omni property maintenance handyman--vehicle: white van--name Mr. Sam D.
The Board of Directors will be grouping minor maintenance repairs to two times per month, therefore reducing the trip charge to Westhaven Commons to only two $35 dollar charges each month. The agreed upon dates are the 1st and 15th of each month, unless those dates should fall on a weekend or holiday, then the next closest business day will be used. No major maintenance may be performed without prior approval by the board.
Contract for collections and attorney services signed with Eads, Murray, & Pugh. The reason for switching will be discussed at the annual board meeting TBA. They have already started the process of notifying the delinquent homeowners. (All homeowners please call to pay or to set up a payment plan...we do not want someone to loose their property because of HOA dues not being paid.)
Leaking windows contract will be signed this week...repairs to start within 2-3wks--this comes from the owner of the repair company.
Balcony repairs--board will be meeting with contractor Nov.9 at 2:30pm on property--repairs should begin the following week.

Crime Alert : from our Westhaven Commons Community Discussion Board: Beware of Peeping Tom Date:Oct. 18,2010
This past Friday night there was a man peeping thru my window. My boyfriend and I were watching a movie at about 11pm and I could see the detail of his shadow very clearly even though I only had the tv and my lava lamp on. He did not knock or ring the door bell. He heard me telling my boyfriend that he was in the window and began to leave but fortunately my boyfriend ran outside and scared the guy away with the help of our dog. He claimed to have been at the "wrong house"?! No kidding! I wish my dog had bit him for being such a jerk! The guy was very tall, at least 6 foot but probably taller, heavy set black guy in his late 20s or early 30s.
