Yes, But

If there is no one to call or hear the dogs, it may not count. Some crooks are sharp to id the size and danger of the dog and some of these dogs yap all nite.

2 ways keep home burglar- proof

Dear Arthur and friends,

My teenagers at Shea High School tell me there are three ways to keep your home burglar-proof.

1. Cut down all high bushes and shrubs that are near the front windows and can block sight of doors. If possible, lower your stockade fences from six feet to four feet. Force the burglar to be noticed.

2. Decoy the home noise. When away, turn on the TV and radio full blast. Keep various lights on in the house. This may not be foolproof, but the potential burglar may be confused as to whether your home is a potential target.

I am lost for other ideas. Do neighbors have any other suggestions to keep burglars away from neighborhoods ?

Peace, Jim
Neighbors are among- Great Tips

Also be careful putting out your boxes for tv or gift boxes- cut them up so criminals do not go shopping too. Get good locks on your doors and light sensors and good lighting too...and most of all be alert and be irregular and have great neighbors and put timers on lights and radios too...It all helps...but one neighbor can make the real difference.

Right you are

It saved me from the victim list...and I keep adding to the lighting for a few pennies of protection.
