To Whom It May Concern:
I have been a long standing resident in Westchester for the past 35 years. Last weekend, I had friends visiting from out of town so my Fiancee and I decided to rent a car from a local rental company -- LAX Rent-A-Car at 7115 W. Manchester Avenue in Westchester. When my fiancee originally spoke to them, they were very polite and told him they would not charge him for the night we picked up the car on Thursday. We returned the car Sunday morning and had anticipated paying for a two day rental. The person who he had dealt with on Thursday night decided to charge us for an entire extra day, despite his earlier agreement. When we asked if we could use the car for the rest of the day then, he also said no. I began to speak with him about this matter but he continued to repeat ''Maam I will not deal with you, only with Pete (my fiancee) who is a smart man. No, don't talk to me.'' He was very rude and kept denying to give me his name or a minute to speak with him. I feel that this is a very unprofessional and disrespectful way to treat customers. Knowing that the culture of Westchester is friendly and shopkeepers are generally helpful and welcoming, I was appauled at the treatment I received from these individuals. I would advise you not to patronize them in the future. Thank you. Sincerely, Lori Klein Ph. 310-216-2505
