Face it - Westfield is a neigborhood with young children with ages ranging from 0 mos. old to 20 years old. As such, we need to assure the safety of our neighborhood youth on our streets by AVOIDING SPEEDING. What can we do? We can set signs within our streets to enforce and remind ourselves to drive within zone limits. We can also create a committee of 'speed zone enforcers' who will help monitor speeding cars and take down the license plate numbers of those who continue to speed (despite three warnings/friendly reminders) for proper action. Let's get involved in our children's safety!

Speeding in Westfield

Let's not confine the danger to just children. There are seniors and pedestrians of all ages and physical condition. The problem is getting worse quickly. 3 warnings is FAR too many chances to kill someone with a deadly weapon(the car). Life is already too short for it to be cut short because a driver is in a hurry and is careless.
