To BBW and more
I didn't think this was worth the time it takes to write this; but I have to admit you struck my sense of humor, from a chuckle to a gutteral laugh. Interlocken receives no special attention...Ha, Ha, Ha, The BF council is like a puppy dog when it comes to Interlocken; what do you want Master; we will give it to you. Roads, Park n Ride (sure we'll trash another area so you can look pure; 1000 spaces and direct roads to you, displace people, homes, what the heck, you are the Master), utilities, stop lights and signs, (is this why you have a committtee to take some down in BF); police protection (hire 12 send 10 to Interlocken). In the meantime; First Filing is on their knees for attention (home to most original BF residents); parks are full of weeds--no money; roads are in need of repair; and Albertsons is a blight on the area. The Broomfield Economic Development Committee is praised for their inept ability to attrack nothing but fast food extensions and gas stations; and is probably crying in their soup over the loss of a liquor store. City permits availability does not allow Home Depot to open for a year; more citizens support this than praise another fast food (bet the mayor cannot undersand why); But those are citizens....a voice headed for extinction in this town. And what is new for BF: human fighting banned in seven states; and a police chief who endorses it. Gee, I am so proud in light of Columbine; was this one-upmanship--we don"t use guns;; we just encourage beating each other to submission!!! What did the council do about this? Since Chuck Johnson endorsed it in the paper; is this ok because Chuck is a friend and lawyer for council members. Look at the problems in first filing and part of Ward 2; if you aren't embarrassed you should be. Of course, this is part of the area that has to be trashed for the park n ride; can't forget Interlocken.
By the way; don't assume you know how I voted for the county; you were not in the voting booth with me.
