As for the new site, we are trying to get the sign-in taken off. Just a few more bugs to work out. It will/should be as easy to get to as this board.
I hope - any way! We'll see.
Again, thanks for your input. Keep it coming!

Escape artist? I do not present information for the purpose of escaping from anything. I am not an elected official. I believe the other side should be heard on the Web site. I belive in what Broomfield is trying to accomplish with a combined city and county.
Your post was fine until the last paragraph. Your statement is not the truth. The second study had absolutely nothing to do with Interlocken or the Parkway. You know we can say just about anything we want about elected officials and, because to the law, get away with it. The same does not hold for private parties. I would like to see you look at Interlocken's representatives face to face and make the absurd statement you made on this site. They would probably slap you with a defamation of character lawsuit. Now, you are on the witness stand. Prove what you have said? No way, because it is not the truth.

Got some information for you about policies regarding relaeased prisoners. I need to verity a few things, but this is what I heard. Prisoners will not be released until someone picks them up or an RTD bus arrives. Prisoners not picked up at the jail, will be transported to an RTD site in Broomfield. Officers or guards will stay with them until they enter the bus. I believe that Broomfield police are open to any suggestions or recommendations you may have regarding released prisoners.

The primary reason I visited this site was that I heard things were being said that were not true. This also applies to the two feasibility studies. Both of these studies were, have always been, and are available to Broomfield citizens and other interested parties. I got a copy of the first study shortly after it was done. I reviewed the study with my neighbors and gave them copies. Other neighbors got copies of the first study from City hall. We also discussed the study with our Council representatives. Whoever said the first study was "kept from the public" is being absurd.
Several years ago, the Broomfield community conducted a community vision process. Broomfield citizens submitted their recommended vision statement to the Broomfield city council. It was adopted by the BCC. One of the recommendations in the vision statement was for a combined city and county. The first feasibility study was a macro level study to determine if a combined city and county would be financially feasible. The study's conclusion was that it would be.
After the 1996 Broomfield election on the city and county, the City decided to have a more micro level study done to further review and determine the operational and financial feasibility of Broomfield becoming a combined city and county and to determine if a micro level study confirmed the results of the first study. Seems to me like a wise and prudent thing to do with a major subject such as a combined city and county. The micro study was done similar to an actual annual budget. The second study concluded that a combined city and county would be operationally and financially feasible and confirmed the results of the first study.
