Well welcome aboard, the more the merrier I say!! :) Larry huh?? This little plot seems to get more interesting everyday!! I'm waiting for the day we can all meet and have our much deserved celebration and watch old BF and its pathetic CC try and answer to its citizens!!

Just a few things in response:

Leo Fessler was a CFFD steering committe member. So it's not quite acurate to say something WAS NOT said by CFFD but WAS said by Leo Fessler. Granted - not all 10 (or so) of CFFD steering committee members agreed on everything. But the property value decrease/assessor issue was a statement made at a large CFFD mtg (~500 people) by a CFFD committee person giving a report on the matter. I don't remember who, exactly, but I'm sure it was NOT Fessler it WAS a woman.

I must agree with you on the "who votes" issue. I wish it was only Broomfield (or maybe the affected counties) that voted on the issue innitially or in the future. The fact that other voters in the state have nothing invested in the results means they are not motivated to know the issues. For them - it's pretty much whatever the big $ advertiser tells them to do. And that is contradictory to the democratic process.

We've heard the "why don't YOU run for office" suggestion before. Some of you know that not just ANYONE can do that job (city council). That job takes MANY hours out of a persons life. It not only takes a passion for effecting change - it requires having a significant other to take care of all a persons other responsibilities(kids, home, etc). No way, could I do that (I can't speak for BrAnon). So for those of us who can't afford the time to be an official - this is our means of being involved.

I don't know if you REALLY care ... but we (CVELG) don't sit around and try to think up ways to deceive the voters of Colorado (to lie to them?). We expend a great deal of energy sorting fact from opinion - trying to understand - and then deciding on an appropriate course of action.
