It says right on the newsletter "Funded by the City of Phoenix", I think it's a load of crap to ask us to pay out of pocket for speed bumps. I think everyone should start calling our city council lady Thelda Williams and keeping her "aide" very busy with our speed complaints. Maybe that will move some action....

I'm on a street that also has no speed bump so the buses and garbage trucks and any other vehicle chooses to speed down this street.
Why was this street not provided with speed bumps when every one around has them?
I have asked for a 4 way stop and speed limit signs from the city, perhaps even a speed machine for a couple days.
I got no response.
With the increased traffic on this road you would think it would be a no brainer to install the speed bumos on all the roads.
The cost of the study or an injury is higher.

Hello,
Corrine is close to getting the humps.
We have the traffic study that indicates we are eligible for humps.
We have the city proposing two humps on the street.
We need approval from the folks that are located next to the locations.
Then we need 70% of ALL the residents on the street to approve.
We have more activity on this site concerning the humps..

John Lowndes Jr. president of the Westown Block Watch. Indicated that there may be funds for one hump.
We have 40 houses on this street it would not take much per household to get the funds we need.
I have not heard from John on the funding situation.
I have not been able to get this issue into the paper news letter.
If everbody here could spread the word we may be able to make this happen.
I have been working on this for more than a year.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
