PRICE FOR BIRTH AND DEATH RECORDS TO INCREASE IN FORT WORTH
Effective April 5, the price for birth and death certificates will increase by $1 to help fund fund preservation and technology improvements to the vital records system in Fort Worth.
The passage of Texas Senate Bill 1744 last September approved a $1 fee for vital statistics records maintained by the local registrar, including birth and death records. Revenue from the increased fees will be used to preverse records and fund technological enhancements. Ultimately, these enhancements will result in improved service and assure the long term quality of records.
