History of White Oak

White Oak was developed on a 95.65-acre parcel of land formerly used as farmland and natural woods in an area far outside the city of Charlotte. Today we have 208 homes, each with a unique lot design and architectural details. We are positioned well within the city limits, but with many of the comforts of a suburban southern lifestyle.

Character of White Oak

White Oak is proud of its subtle charm among the prestege of South Charlotte. Our all-brick homes were well-constructed throughout the late 1980's and early 1990's by Trotter, a popular builder of fine homes in Charlotte. Our entrances are flanked with Bradford Pear trees that offer a canopy of fragrant white blossoms in the early spring, and a quiet, shady preface to our homes throughout the summer. White Oak is nestled among dense woods and protected wetlands North of Ballantyne and West of Piper Glen. On our Northern border, Four Mile Creek surrounds the boundaries of our community, which provides us a natural habitat for hundreds of birds, geese, beavers, ducks and deer.

Location, Location, Location!

We treasure our location with such convenient access to SO MUCH available to us in South Charlotte. We are directly between the I-485 exits of Rea and Johnston Roads. Likewise, we are directly between the very popular shopping/playing/dining/working areas of Stonecrest and Torington. In addition, The Shops at Piper Glen are just across the creek from our main entrance and Touchstone Village is a short distance through the Touchstone neighborhood, which neighbors us to the North.

Shopping, dining, movies, schools, work, play, even the new Greenway can all be literally minutes from your front door!

About our association

Your Association

The White Oak Board of Directors consists of nine members elected into two year terms. Meetings are held monthly, generally in the homes of the various board members. Each month we meet to review any announcements or communication received by homeowners and work to make prudent decisions for the betterment of our neighborhood collectively.

Committees

Help and new ideas are always welcomed on any of our committees. We have active committes in the areas of Welcome, Social Events, Special Events and Grounds. If you would like to help in any way at all, contact us and you won't be overlooked!

Meetings (Monthly/Annual)

Homeowners are welcome to attend our monthly board meetings as guests. You will be given the opportunity to address the board, then be excused while the Board continues with the remainder of their meeting.

Our annual meeting is held every October. The exact date/time/location is announced 30-days prior to the meeting. Watch the Community Calendar for the exact date and be sure to attend so you will be a well-informed homeowner.
