CRIME REPORT; 10-11-10

  Good morning!!!!!  Here are a couple of examples of incidents over the weekend.   Officer Walker stopped a vehicle on Lariat Trail.  The driver, a 21 year old female, had an outstanding theft warrant.  Her driver's license was suspended as well.  She was arrested for both offenses.   Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of North Willis.  The driver, a 37 year old male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.  This incident is the 505th DWI incident in Abilene since January 1st.   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.  

CRIME REPORT; 10-12-10

    Good morning!!!!  Here are a couple of examples of overnight incidents.   Officer Scott contacted a known wanted subject.  When the subject saw Officer Scott, he ran from the location.  A police K-9 tracked the subject to a residence in the 5300 block of North 9th.  The 21 year old male was located and arrested for the warrant (1st degree felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver) and for evading arrest.   Officer Joeris contacted a suspicious subject at South 1st and Carl.  A computer check showed the 23 year old female had three outstanding traffic warrants and one outstanding warrant for prostitution.  The subject was arrested without incident.   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.

Good Morning! Here are a couple of examples of overnight incidents:

 

Yesterday morning at about 6:30am, Officer Craft was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 3600 block of Grape St. There he contacted a 21 year old male who was found to be intoxicated and upset, and the man advised Officer Craft to take him to jail or he would kill his brother. The brothers had been involved in an altercation earlier. The man was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threat/Family Violence.

 

At about 5:05pm, Officer Donny Brown stopped a car in the 3800 block of S. 23rd St. for a traffic violation. Narcotics agent responded to the scene and a K9 alerted on the vehicle. A passenger in the car, a 27 year old Dallas woman, was found to be in possession of drugs. She was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine and Class “B” Possession of Marijuana.

CRIME REPORT; 10-14-2010

 

Here are a couple of examples of calls made over the last 24 hours.

 

At about 11:52 am, Officer Craft responded to a burglary call in 3100 block of Orange. An Abilene man reported that he returned home from an out of town trip to find that his home had been broken into via an unlocked window. Almost $3,000 in property was stolen, including a flat screen plasma TV and some tools. A report was taken for burglary of a habitation.
 

At about 3:20pm, Officer Becker responded to a burglary call in the 1500 block of Walnut St. An Abilene man reported that the front door of his house was kicked in while he was at work.  A flat screen TV was taken in this case also. A report was taken for burglary of a habitation.

 

Please remember to secure your house when you are away, even if it is only for a short period of time, and record the serial numbers of your property as this helps to identify your property if it is recovered.
