CRIME REPORT; 11-22-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At About 5:47 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, Officer Bryan responded to a call of a Criminal Mischief in the 900 block of Nelson.  A 32 year old female, reported that an unknown person had smashed the rear window out of her vehicle.  The estimated damage is $250.00.

 

At about 7:15 P.M. last night, Officer Tollison responded to a disturbance call in the 1800 block of S. 6th.  Upon arrival he contacted a 53 year old male, who was in a public place.  This individual was intoxicated and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

 

Finally, at about 8:40 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of E.N. 7th for a traffic violation.  Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, it was found that the passenger, a 19 year old female, had several local warrants for her arrest.  She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 11-23-10

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 6:00 P.M. last night, Officer Hall was dispatched to a possible intoxicated person in the 700 block of Barrow.  Upon arrival he contacted a 42 year old male who was extremely intoxicated.  The male subject could not stand on his own and only mumbled when asked a question.  Officer Hall called for an ambulance and had the subject looked at by medical personnel.  The subject was cleared by medical personnel and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

 

At about 10:11 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Nelson for parking on the wrong side of the roadway.  The driver of this vehicle, a 30 year old male, had prior drug history so a K-9 was called to the stop.  Upon further investigation the driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally at about 1:50 A.M. this morning, Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of North 13th.  The vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at the designated point of an intersection.  The driver, a 40 year old male, was found to have a suspended driver’s license.  He was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 11-24-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 7:30 P.M. last night, Officer Becker observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly.  Officer Becker got behind the vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop.  The driver of this vehicle, a 32 year old female, refused to pull over and continued driving at a high rate of speed.  A short chase ensued and the driver eventually pulled over in the 2300 block of Hickory.  The driver and a 30 year old female passenger ran from the vehicle on foot, both subjects were caught.  The driver of the vehicle was charged with Felony Evading in a Vehicle.  She was also found to be in possession of Cocaine and Marijuana.  She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.  The passenger of the vehicle was charged with Evading Arrest, both subjects were transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 1:20 A.M. this morning, Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of North Treadaway for not signaling a turn prior to the required distance.  A K-9 was called to assist on the stop and the K-9 alerted on the vehicle.  Upon further investigation it was found that the driver, a 23 year old male, was in possession of cocaine.  He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Taylor County Jail.
