Windsor Square was created between 1900 and 1910 by George Howard. He envisioned a beautiful tranquil park-like setting for family homes in an English countryside style. Robert Rowan initiated this unique residential development and called it "Windsor Square." Today Windsor Square still maintains its original charm with the added advantage of being surrounded by urban Los Angeles. The neighborhood is diverse and vibrant. It maintains a close small town atmosphere with a charming main street, Larchmont Blvd. At the same time,it is close to "Big City" sophistication of Hollywood, Downtown, and Beverly Hills. The Windsor Square of today is as beautiful, but much improved over Mr. Howard's original vision.
