Windward Slopes

WARNING...CHILD ABDUCTION ATTEMPT!

There was a Child Abduction Attempt in the Windward Slopes Subdivision on June 1, 2011 near Cutter Lane and Piper Bay Cove. According to the Sherriff's Department the vehicle description is as follows: A newer black 4 door car with a Male White driver.

PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT!

Clarification?   Cutter Lane does not intersect with Piper Bay COVE.   It does intersect with Piprr Bay LANE.  Could it be that the incident occurred at Peper Bay Cove and Leeward Slopes Drive?  Those of us who live at Cutter Lane and Piper Bay were not aware of any attempted abduction on June 1.

Correction:   Cutter Bay COVE intersects with Windward Slopes DRIVE, not Cutter Lane.   Any clarification would be appreciated.

Just passing along what the Shelby County Sheriff's Deputy stopped and told me that afternoon. All I can say at this point is that I called WMCTV 5 and asked them to investigate the incident. Ben Watson called me and said that Shelby County didn't have enough information to continue an investigation. I just wanted to pass the news along that there was a possible predator in our neighborhood and for parents to be more diligent in watching their children.
