Sorry, but I had to get your attention...
Last week a good friend played a great prank (the background of which is hardly material to this query) on me involving a bright orange John Deere riding mower, a la Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee, parked in my front yard. With an old tire tied to the back of it. Very nice...
She parked it there on last Wednesday night, and on Thursday morning I left to walk the dog, and before I got back an hour later (before 8AM), the General Lee was gone. I assumed that she had already come to reclaim it, and phoned her to say how disappointed I was not to have it still prominently displayed. She told didn't take it. (I checked, she doesn't...) We called the City of Decatur Sanitation Dept., thinking that since it was trash/recycling day, someone might have reasonably assumed that it was left near the curb for that reason.
At any rate, it's gone, sanitation doesn't have it, and we're about to file a police report. It does work, and we do want it back. If anyone has seen it, or saw who hauled it off, please let me know. It was taken from the front of 354 Kirk Road, is bright orange, with a big '01' and 'General Lee' painted on it...
Thanks for any and all information. Call Alice at 404-545-6344 if you find it...
