Ladies & Gentleman,
I want to take a moment to address a situation that has come to my attention. That being the number of vehicles left parked in our streets.
The Association, on numerous occassions has stated that if the forecast calls for 2" of snow or more, please park your vehicles in your driveways to allow for the best possible snow removal scenario.....an unblocked street. Anyone who has ever plowed snow will tell you it is much easier to do a thorough job and not risk injury or damage if everything is out of the way.
Yet, the other day, when we had a record snow fall, I counted 15 or 16 vehicles in the streets. Please, lets try to improve on that next time. Granted there is no prize for no cars in the street, just the idea of the fact that you did the right thing and allowed our snow removal personnel to continue to do the fantastic job that they do.
Sidewalks. Shovel the snow off of your sidewalks. Children use them to get to bus stops, etc. You would feel terrible if your child or a neighbors child fell and was seriously injured. Do your part and keep our sidewalks clear and SAFE.
Most respectfully,
Eric M. Rankin
Vice President
