On January 2, a quorum of Board Members and 17 neighbors met at the Radisson for the monthly WNA Board Meeting.
The President reported that Zigatos Bar & Grill and Capitol City Catering were moving to the Clarion at Auburn at Fulton; there was discussion about Canterbury Inn issues; and discussion about the future WNA meeting site. The recent spate of daytime robberies ended in arrests directly because of watchful neighbors. The group discussed the need to revitalize the Woodlake Security Volunteers.
The Dog Park committee reported that the School Board would likely take up outstanding issues at their next meeting Monday. Other progress on technical issues included a survey of the land boundaries as the proposal continues review and comment. There was discussion about improving security in the southeast part of the neighborhood.
We also learned about shutting off water to homes with the new water meters.
New Business included a report of net loss of trees inn Woodlake recently. We should consider participating in the Tree Canopy Project to replace the loss. Our Neighbor-helping-Neighbor program is available to help anyone who needs assistance with storm damage and other projects.
