Community Swimming Pool

Picture

Note from the Board and Pool Committee

The access gate has new lock, and everyone will need to acknowledge receipt of pool rules upon issuance of a new key. The bathroom access door is to remain locked at all times and never propped open, as it's self-closure mechanism could create a hazard to small children. Please keep the bathrooms clean, and parents please accompany children to the bathrooms. Practice safety at all times, and enjoy your facility!

WEHA Pool Rules (As Posted in the Pool Area)

1. Shower before entering the water - our bodies carry bacteria on them and this impedes the sanitizing.
2. Swimming alone is prohibited.
3. Children under 14 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult responsible for that child. No exceptions.
4. No running or rough play in and around the pool. Running from the grass onto the deck and jumping into the pool is prohibited.
5. No diving.
6. Anyone with bandages, open wounds, or any symtom of communicable disease should not enter the water.
7. Glass containers are not allowed in the pool area, and no food in the pool.
8. Excess body lotions should be removed prior to entering the water - this also impedes the sanitizing.
9. Absolutely no animals are allowed in the pool area.
10. Bathing load - 54 persons. Pool open all day till 10:00 p.m. (parties are exempt).
11. Children that are not sufficiently potty trained or are still in diapers should enter the pool only with approved swim-diapers and under constant and direct supervision from their parents. Parents are required to use sound judgment and be fully responsible for any ‘accidents’ which will result in closure of the pool for re-conditioning. Parents need to understand that a fecal incident can result in any of the following - E.Coli, Staphylococcus, Legionnella,
Streptococcus, Shigella, or Pseudomonas.

Bathroom Cleanliness

Please take time to thank your volunteer neighbors who are cleaning the bathooms when users do not...Donna, Patty, Alicia, Debbie and Christine. Volunteer for next season! Please insure your children do not leave a mess! There's a mop for use on the wet floor (dripping bathing suits}. To ease the job of our volunteers, we urge families to help us with bathroom clean-up. If you see something that needs tending to - PLEASE DO SO. If we all take responsibility, it will be so much appreciated by the volunteers.

Debbie says: "I enjoy providing my neighbors with a safe environment to swim in - let's have fun this summer. Feel free to contact me with any thoughts." Reach Debbie at 573-1912.
