Congestion on Cedarway

Posted in: Woodlands
Don't we have rules regarding the number of vehicles allowed at one home on a continuous basis? 1409 Cedarway (which is rented out by the homeowner) has a minimum of 4 vehicles per night, along with a large utility trailer parked in front propped on a cinder block. There is usually at least one truck parked across the street on the common area, killing the grass. All the vehicles leak large amounts of various fluids, as there are numerous oil stains on the road. We have counted on separate occasions 13, 11, and 9 vehicles there for the night. When you count the trailer (and it is large enough that they carry cars on it)as one, add at least 4 more, you have 5 at least each night, with 2 in the driveway, and 2 plus the trailer on the road. None in the garage, as they use it for work preparation and a doghouse. Can we do something?

There seem to be no limit on the number of vehicles allowed to each unit. All is not lost.

Our Restrictions, Article X, ?§1, provide that ''No Lot shall be used except for single family residential purposes''.
Article X,?§15 provides that ''No building or other structure on any lot shall be used for any commercial or business purpose''.
Article X,?§24g provides that no mobile home, house trailer, camper, or like vehicle shall be stored on any lot.

Go to the Board of Directors and ask why the management company isn't enforcing these rules.

ADDITIONAL INFO

If you are not sure of who is on the board of Directors as most people in this sub don't seem to know through no fault of their own, contact Ben Davis (president of the Woodlands Board) tel. #332-8587. Remember in September when you are given Notice of the General Membership Meeting held across the street at Christ Church, tell all your neighbors and make sure to attend and let your voices be heard. As far as the Management Co.goes (the company that you send your dues to) it would appear that they won't do much other than give lip service.
Congestion

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the reminder on the September meeting. I have spoken with Ghertner twice about the problem, who have sent a letter to the homeowner, who is evidently ignoring it. They say their hands are tied beyond that, that the board must give them the next direction to take. Joy advised me last week she was sending another letter and was going to talk to the board. We'll see.
