NYPD is initiating a new NEIGHBORHOOD COORDINATION OFFICERS (NCO) program WHICH WILL BEGIN WITHIN 2 WEEKS. The NCO sergeant is Sergeant Stephen Api. The 47th will be divided into 4 sectors with Woodlawn and Wakefield "B" sector. There will be 4 regularly assigned police officers to each sector, who will be virtually beat cops and will be trying to interact with the community so that everyone knows them as we did with Ann Marie and Jimmy. There will be 2 NCO officers,Donnie Ford and Robert Bosland, who will coordinate with those 12 officers,4 per 8 hour shift, and receive complaints and suggestions to help the community, One or both of these officers should be invited to a Taxpayers to further explain the program and to introduce themselves to the Woodlawn taxpayers. There will be another program going into effect in December which will allow citizens to anonymously give tips to the police by e-mail but without the address showing up on the downtown computer.
