Our house on Green Meadow Cir. in the back with 2 dogs that bark at everything had the attempted breakin in. (though if you ask me when someones crawling though my window with both hands inside and his foot in my kitchen sink thats not attemped breakin thats BREAKIN)apprently another house something was stolen from there locked porch then they (2 men)moved to the house next to us and broke in to thier garge and stole loose change from thier van they walk arcoss our lawn saw our window open (blinds down) cut the screen and bent it off. pulled the blinds all the way open.One man was the look out while the other jumped up to the window and started in . This was the front window in full view. My husband just happend to get out of bed and was walking in the kitchen (there was a small light on above the stove) and saw the person crawling through and yelled at them they took off my husband ran out the front door and they were allready running down the street. He called 911 and LMPD came 10 min. later and took a report. I strongly feel that if we had on our front porch light on that it would have been a major deterrent. I think we all should ''light up the neighborhood'' and turn on at least one outside light at night. even just a 40 watt if we all turn one on would make such a difference. although street lamp post seem like an obvious first chocie line of defence. We have a lamp post directly in front of our house across the street, which did not help us.

I would just like to let you know that I live two doors down from you. I was very upset to hear that your house was broken into. I am glad to hear that your family is safe. I believe you are right about the lights on the houses. I can assure you that my light will be on. Hope you are doing alright.

break in

I leave on green meadow too ,have there been any more break ins??
