I am concerned about the growing cases of graffit around the neighborhood and the retail center around Kroger. I have noticed the new Starbucks, Kroger, Walden School, utility boxes on Stivers, Brick wall behind Kroger, Target and street signs in Beechwood Village have all been stricken with this vandalism in recent months. Folks, this is money out of our pockets, as property values will certainly be devalued by this delinquent behavior. Can we step up the crime watch or patrols? I will keep my eyes peeled, will you?

They caught them tonight

The police caught 4 people tonight spray painting the train overpass behind Green Meadow Circle, all juveniles. If you suffered damage recently or know someone who did, have them call the 5th police division to obtain the subjects information for proesecution.

Graffiti

I agree that there is nothing more disheartening than our scenery being destroyed by this sort of vandalism. I was happy to see the new additions to Woodlawn Center and share your concern about this issue. I have worked with Woodlawn Center on repairing the brick wall that lines our city and we do watch for these occurrences. I have also made our concerns heard at Distict 7 and Metro Louisville.

I have spoken with the gang liaison/grafitti detective for the 5th division LMPD and he is coming out to my house tomorrow (9/6) to go over the various locations that were damaged. They did apprehend several of the suspects and are trying to link the damages together.

I would appreciate it if you could call my phone 599-6367. I will try to see if you are listed in the neighborhood directory and call you tomorrow while the detective is here if that is okay.
