The City of Woodlawn Park is attempting to put together a list of residents that own 4-wheel drive vehicles who would volunteer to take critical job employees, like nurses, doctors, fireman to work during a snow emergency.
Volunteers would only be asked to take those people who are residents of the City of Woodlawn Park, and would not be asked to take home or pickup people who are not residents of Woodlawn Park, Kentucky.
The last big snow storm we had that shut down the City of Louisville, and all of Jefferson County was in 1994. Since then the local government has done a better job of clearing our city streets.
If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer please call Councilman George Langford at 897-1915 or email me at georgendfan@aol.
