Where is our Neighborhood Police

Posted in: Woodlawn Park
Why is it I never seen our new police officer patrolling the neighborhood? Although he doesn't seem to have a problem finding McDonald's drive-thru in the police car, I've seen him there quite a few times
You could always count on seeing Officer Bob. He was there when you needed him for a problem when he was called.
I've tried to complain about loud music playing from a rental property with new tenants and was told no one was in the area, he would transfer me to Louisville Metro. Well, it's not the City of Louisville's problem, it's the City of Woodlawn Park's problem.
Please help me understand why this man is never around.
I can't say it makes me feel very safe.
The Policeman is a nice guy !!!

The new policeman is a very nice man.I spoke with him also about loud music being played from a rental. The poor guy only has 25 hours a week here that is about 4 hours a day for 7 days .I think the cousel members should be told that we need our policeman to have more hours,if that is possible? Also if you a have renal property. Please sceen your renters a little more closely. Some of them feel that they our above the laws.I rented houses for years before owning my own home and I would have never upset my neighbors.I wanted them to feel that I would care for the place as if it were my own place.O well another day and another problem in woodlawn park.

Woodlawn Park Police

The role of the police in Woodlawn Park is primarily for our own ordnance enforcement. The related ordnance describes the position as Code Enforcement Officer.

Their presence is a natural deterrent to crime as well, but should not be considered the first line of defense for emergencies or any other possible criminal activity.

No disrespect

I did not know our new Chief worked so few hours. I've never met him. I just remember Officer Bob (me and a few of my surrounding neighbors called him that). He was always around to talk to anyone and I know he had very few hours. I just don't see our new Chief around Green Meadow Cir. I would love to get to know him
