Saturday, April 26, Cleanup 8 am-1 pm. EcoFest, Druid Hill Park from 11 am-5 pm. Communities are encouraged to "Clean up Baltimore" by clearing debris in their neighborhoods. Community representatives should call 311 to register and provide their cleanup locations, planned activities, and anticipated number of participants. Roll-off containers will be available for debris collection on a first call to 311 basis. Limited bags will be made available to participating communities. Pick-up of these filled bags will occur on Monday, April 28.
This year, residents and property owners have an added incentive to get involved. The Maryland Stormwater Fee has now gone into effect, and one way to receive credits to reduce your fee is to participate in organized cleanups such as this. Additional information on this will be provided when you register. To learn more about cleanups and other DPW activities please consult your DPW Calendar or go to publicworks.baltimorecity.gov.
On Saturday DPW is also celebrating EcoFest, a community celebration and outdoor festival. EcoFest will feature an all local lineup of musicians, food vendors, and nearly 100 local vendors and exhibitors who share our vision for a greener Baltimore.
