There is a meeting to discuss the increased train traffic in our area. Here are the details pulled from the House Majority Caucus February newsletter:
Delaware City
Refinery Community Meeting
Please join us on Wednesday evening at a community meeting to
discuss plans to increase train traffic to the Delaware City Refinery. Reps.
Earl Jaques, John Kowalko, Valerie Longhurst and Ed Osienski have expressed
concerns about the impact the increased number of railcars would have on
traffic and safety. Local legislators and residents were surprised by the news
from PBF Energy and rail officials and felt they were not properly notified of
the plans, which would have a significant impact on the community. Click
here to read more about the proposal.
There will be a presentation by the Delaware City Refinery
Company and railroad company Norfolk Southern and then a question and answer
period.
