That he is a Wyandotte Legend, I told my kids all about him, The car lifting and how tough he was, I remember that he rode his motorcycle up the side of the viaduct on the grass slope, tearing the grass up on the way up. It created a path that widened over the years and people use it to walk up the viaduct. It lasted 25 years till they redid the viaduct. I told my kids,'' See That Path? Charlie Simpson made that riding his motorcycle up it. They just said wow! That's crazy, LOL! I'm sure not many people knew that. I also remember him being on 5th street talking to a bunch of kids he was out of school then , talking about how he'd like to kick Mr Pascuzzi's azz, LOL! Which I was all for at the time, Cus Old Mr P could be a real jones at times., Give Charlie my best. KT

Oh yeah, I remember...
Charlie, he lived across the street from me. He might be BIG, but he was just a down to earth person. He used to come over to visit my Dad, barefoot in overalls. I remember when he and his friend set the walls up on my neighbors new garage. Just the two of them and all their muscles. He would ride his motorcyle down the street doing wheelies. I have a picture of him standing up on the seat of his motorcycle while it was in motion!!! Lots to remember about him!!!

Charlie
I talked with Charlie this morning. He is very sick with Cancer. He weighs under 200 pounds at this time. Would like to have a fund raiser for him to help with his bills. Yes, I also remember him riding his motorcycle while standing up on the seat. I was just a rookie Police Officer, I could not believe what I was seeing. All through my career I remained friends with Charlie. It's sad to see what Cancer has done to this man. He was strong as an OX, and a good man. Loved Police Officers, and they respected him.
