Diversity

I'm all for equal employment, especially for minorities. However, there should not be any special consideration for this if the population doesn't reflect it. In other words, in a city of ~ 28,000 with 1% being an ethnic minority (this being a high number), then the PD dept should have 1% of its workforce from this category. Now, if there are less than 100 police officers, which I think there are, and 1% of 100 is 1, it would be very difficult to hire less than 1 man.

So, diversity in the workplace should reflect the population of the city. That is why the majority of municipal workers in Detroit are African American. Why no uproar to get White people jobs in Detroit?

As for women getting jobs in the Wy PD, I do believe there are female officers. No less percentage than any other department downriver.

WPD has a diversity problem and a gender mix problem unlike I repeat unlike ....Allen Park, Riverview, Brownstowm Trenton, Woodhaven Lincoln Park Taylor its WPD that has not meet diversity goals and Bearmom there are no women officers in WPD do you know of any?
