Motion Support will the Clerk attach the Roll?

This pathetic statement needs to be stricken from the lexicon of the sitting City Council there are many items brished aside passed over with the simple statement...pls attach the (Rubber Stamp) the Roll

YOUR FIRED! should be a new term beginnig Monday night and directed at the exempt employees bungling their departmental responsibilities fior these reasons

Your FIRED City Police Chief for your failure to impliment any affirmative hires with respect to gender/racial mix as required by th EEOC

Your FIRED Economic Development Director for your failure to atract new caopital investment into the CBD, or recruit any number of interested business candidates which have expressed an interest in the community.

Your FIRED City Dir of Community Relations for your snippinmg at the small business, and in your failed efforts to provide a meaningful Community Coordination effort at supporting Economic Development.

Your FIRED City Internet Contractor or Web Master for your failure to provide a decent webnet city product which reflects the Spirit of the City and the Spirit of its Citizens. Your site resembles a cartoon, with a lot of generic cheap clip art.

Your FIRED to the Candidate at WPD running for City Council while doing a poor job in your present responsibilities.

YOUR FIRED to the Chief Inspector who meanders around aimlessly at times citing homeowners for non essential violations which require work and effort to corect like tuck pointing, and other non essential items while the CDB busiess rot like egss in the hot sun.

YOUR FIRED Tonight let's open some of these exempt jobs up to the private secotor and see how many excelent candidates with a track record apply.

Your FIRED...lets begin the process
tonight, Monday night. !

Your FIRED !
I hear a second, will the Clerk attach the Roll?

...and Mayor Sabuda if you CAN NOT or WILL NOT provide the leadership initiative on this, then you should step aside yourself, or you might get FIRED too .

If this tough no nonsense line is taken it will be an immediate synergy towards creating real econiomic development long over due in this community.

When was the last time any one of these croonies were FIRED ?

You're Fired

You're fired for not being able to spell nor type a proper sentence that people can understand.

How dare you insult people you don't even know - get a life!!!!!
Yawn

(Your FIRED City Police Chief for your failure to impliment any affirmative hires with respect to gender/racial mix as required by th EEOC )
............................
I say BS We don't need any racial mix or affirmative action , Our Police force is a reflection of the make up of the city, And you call people liberal?

(Your FIRED Economic Development Director for your failure to atract new caopital investment into the CBD, or recruit any number of interested business candidates which have expressed an interest in the community.)

Again How do you know what is and what isn't being done? I'm curious, it's easy to talk, What kind of bussiness wouid you recruit and how would you go about it? Every city I pass though has some empty spaces, But few have a city as clean and up-kept as we do.

(Your FIRED to the Candidate at WPD running for City Council while doing a poor job in your present responsibilities.)

It is within Mr P's right to run for office he he feels he wants to, He has be a city servant for a number of years, A father and a youth athlectics coach, He has lived in the city and I'm sure would only want to do a good job for it's citizens, Your beef and your shot taking at every oppotunity is beginning to seem a bit obsessive.

(YOUR FIRED to the Chief Inspector who meanders around aimlessly at times citing homeowners for non essential violations which require work and effort to corect like tuck pointing, and other non essential items while the CDB busiess rot like egss in the hot sun.)

I believe we have a bit of over-kill, But true I think the city should give homeowners every break possible if it is beyond the home owners ability to bring things to code and that the ordinances should be issued fairly
You know Keiko you seem obsessed with running the city and it's leaders down, I've seen very little if anything upbeat from you when it comes to the city, It's not that bad. KT

Who Should We Hire After Firings

Its easy to say that we should fire everyone but that doesn't mean that any of the perceived problems will be solved. It is difficult to work miracles and I don't think that our city has enough money to pay for real miracle workers.

Its easy to say that the city charter should be changed to provide for a city manager or to require city employees to be subject to a waiting period before they can run for an elected office, but just talking about those ideas doesn't get the charter changed. We just finished a charter revision process and I can remember a few meeting where no citizens or very few citizens attended those meetings. It takes citizen involvement to get out charter changed.

The city does not really have that much control over what kind of businesses come to our downtown or to our city. We can't afford to offer big tax breaks to get the perfect businesses. So we are usually happy to get whatever comes along if it meets our zoning and planning guidelines. Our DDA has this concept that if they control(own) the buildings they can convince better stores to locate in our city. I have my doubts about this concept, but time will tell.

If I think that something needs fixed or even if I just don't like the way they are doing something, I usually go to their meetings and tell them what I think. I also try to watch over our elected officials' performance by watching the replays of many of the meetings that I can't personally attend. I try to remember how they stand on issues and whether I agree with their thinking. Then I try to vote in every election that we have in this city.

This I believe, is a better method of fixing problems in our city than firing all those listed employees. I noticed that this poster thinks we need a city manager but doesn't like the fact that an ex Sterling Hts city manager was such a bad person. Well that is one of the big problems that I had with the city manager concept vs. a full time mayor position. It's not so easy or cheap to get rid of a bad city manager but a bad full time mayor can be recalled or just not voted back into office without paying big severance costs if we don't like the job he or she is doing their job.
