Death penalty?

Posted in: Wyandotte
another aspect

how many people that have been on death row and just in the general prison population have been released due to them have actually being found innocent of there crimes after serving years in prison, you hear about it all most all the time. ever set back and wonder how many innocent people have been actually put to death or are locked up. anyone remember reading who the m.s.p. crime lab botched evidence only to try and cover it up. what about the lady with the cadaver dog that was found to be planting evidence and is on trial as we speak. what about the det cops that are on trial for planting evidence that are on trial as we speak. or the ones that did the same in l.a. or in miami fla or n.y. what i said above might piss some off but when your talking about the death penailty you had better be damed sure of it, what about the ex illinos gov that over turned all death sentances to life in prison because of the problem they had with there system and found some on death row to be actually innocent of the crimes they were charged with. dont get me wrong i,m all for scum getting a seat in ole sparky however these are issues that must also be looked at. what about the mentally retarted ones on death row, did,nt tx.(who fries everyone)just put one to death that had the mentality of a 5 year old and still played with dolls. what about the 12 year old mentally retarded kid that was just released from prison who had been sentanced to life w/o parole and then on the other hand we wont even bring up the juice o.j. who walked. or nevers or budzyn who were wrongly convicted to avoid a riot who sentances were later over turned. myself i would rather be judged by a panel of judges instead of 12 emotional morons who in the past there verdics have been over turned time and time again. but on the other side a rep congressman from mi is going to re-introduce a bill to re-instate the death penilty for all those who are convicted of 1st deg pre meditated murder to be put for a vote of the people since the mi constituation has to be remanded due to it forbiding the death penilty. however his efforts have failed 2 times in the past. dittos

True

Then how do we stop the people that do? I don't believe in killing either, but what is it going to take to stop the senseless killings? Maybe they'd think twice before they pulled the trigger and shot an innocent person if they knew they'd get the death penalty.I don't know if there is a right or a wrong to this, but something sure needs to be done. The criminals aren't really afraid to commit a crime because they are not punished severely enough. They figure they will get out on good behavior, and they do. Then, they are back committing crimes again. I am really sorry about the innocent people who have gone to prison. Maybe jurors need to take their job more seriously.Maybe our justice system isn't the best. I really don't want to start an argument with anyone about this. I am just tired of all of these senseless killings, and tired of criminals being put back on the streets. What are we supposed to do? The prisons are overcrowded so they let criminals out.

You can never stop somebody from killing, But once guilt is established you can prevent that person from killing again. with the ability of DNA tecnology things will be a bit clearer cut. When you are sure. Pull the plug and be done with it. Violent criminals should be taught a good lesson, one they will not forget. I have known of people who have entered and existed the penal system numerous times and have never learned a lesson. A waste of time and energy, Now a few Cane swats across the back would of changed their attitude, But I feel the cable tv and phone rights do little to help reabilitate them. I don't know, Maybe I'm just a mean man, But I would see that the law abiding had the best chance of living a safe life if it was in my power. Live within the laws of society or pay a price. Everybody treated the same, Blue , Black, White or Green. KT
