The other advantage that Riverview, southgate and Trenton have over us,is open land and lots of it.

We have an abundance of open lots but the best that we can do are the Daly and Finazzo TINY strip-malls.

When and if the day ever comes(I hope not)when we must rid ourselves of the golf course.

That then may be the time to seriously consider how to best use that property.

Some people who come on this link and complain and complain, make it sound as though anything and eveything can and should be fixed or taken care of overnight.

DREAM ON!

First of all...please don't call people ''retard''. That is just wrong and really sad.
I think part of what Keiko was saying was that we stopped patronizing our stores and businesses. I DO comaprison shop...but if something at Jerry's costs a little more than it might elsewhere, I DO buy it. Because I want to SUPPORT Mom and Pop businesses....
When you are looking at a $1,000 order and the cost from Gails was skightly higher...it would probably be worth it. Hometown loyalty, money back into the community, small town service...
Have you ever listened to Alan Jackson's song The Little Man?

''Now they are lined up in a concrete strip
You can buy the whole world with just one trip
And save a penny cause it's jumbo size
They don't even realize
They're killin' the little man
Oh the little man''

You know what you're right. I do have a nasty habit of name calling and I really shouldn't stoop that low,if(in my opinion)their post already shows their short comings.

P.S. don't exspect an overnight miracle!
dependency

Wyand is too much dependent upon the very successful Aert Fair, and do a very nice job...bravo!

However its a long wait between these summer events, Heritage Days is nioce for ther kiddies but draws noone spending any money in the community.

You think these merchants would get the drift, and get with their own super aggressive program...but they don't seem to care either?

Many do not even observe 3rd Friday only when it suits them! Why go there!
