Did anyone else catch Jimmy Desana's comment about the mayor during the car wash discussion? The mayor kept talking in circles about the owners concerns and Desana said just loud enough to hear, ''G*d d@mn it mayor'' out of his frustration.

Jimmy Lost His Patience

He seems like he is very frustrated as a councilman. He was previously the top dog and he just can't get used to being a second fiddle. I wish that he would start being more of team player or that he would just go away and not run again. I didn't hear the ''GD'' comment in person but I was told later that the cable viewers definetly heard it plain and clear. I guess he will have to apologize next week just like his buddy Sutka did to Joe P.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for Jimmy because he and I got into a big argument over his support of the failed charter. I believe that he supported it, without really knowing what was in it. He got so mad at me on that election day that he refused to discuss it anymore with me and he then refused to even talk to me. He doesn't get over losing very well and I think he is going to hold it against me for a long time. I particularly am reminded of his disdain for me when I speak at the council meetings and he will turn to Andy S and start a discussion will I am still speaking. He did a lot of good things for this city in the past but his time has come for his retirement and he doesn't even realize it. I hope all those 23rd Street residents remember his treatment of them, come next April 2005.
