Rome and America

I understand what you are saying now and I agree. I have seen programs on TV about what goes on at the California and Texas borders. They have a big problem.

Both sets of my grandparents came over here from Europe in the early 1900's. They learned English and dressed like the rest of the country. They became citizens, raised their families and became part of their community. We have a great neighbor who was born and raised in Mexico City. She too has learned the language, has a job, and I never saw her so happy as when she became a citizen. These are the immigrants I was talking about.

No I wouldn't want to see this country sixty percent Muslim. I am all for freedom of religion, but these people don't seem to want to adapt to any part of our way of life.

I also have people that I like and care about that came from other countries, I have been tracing my family tree and found that my families go back pretty far in american history some back to the early 1700's, But I also had a Mexican Uncle who I loved dearly and a Korean aunt and cousins from both, I don't have a problem with people who want to come here to be part of a great country, Who could blame them. I have a problem with those that want to reap the benefits without appreciation for it. I tend to think in terms of my tribe First what is good for my kids and my future ancestors. I'm sure there are arguments that tell how great multiculturalism is and how we should all feel the love. And I try to buy it. But there is always a nagging feeling that somehow it's just not all it's cracked up to be. KT
I'll stick with lead poisining

I know it's a boring answer but it's the one I'm going with.

And it could be true!

And if history does repeat itself, we did use a hell of a lot of lead based paint in this country.Who knows? History is a funny thing, You have to go by what somebody else has written long ago. and as we are finding out, Things weren't always the way people wrote that they were. KT
