A while ago, we told you we would, along with our HOA board, look into the matter of the locomotive horns. This is what we have found. In order for the locomotive horns not to be used along 544 means a different type of crossing arm has to be installed at each intersection. The three streets that are grouped together are Country Club (1378), Springwell and McCreary. The cost for these three street crossings comes to a total of $665,000 plus engineering fees. Right now with the more important issues facing Wylie and it's growth this is not feasible spending of the cities money.
