Guests: Officer Steve Cambron and Officer Larry Smith, LMPD


Incidents for Log:

June - All Church called LMPD - kids gathering, in yard - York River Rd.

July 1 - Linda D. called police - kids gathering in street, stopping traffic - Old Towne Rd.

July 6 - police not called - cars egged on Old North Church Rd.

July - Schrenger called police - oil drained from vehicle - Declaration Dr.


Officers Report:

Reach them at 574-2111

Prowler run - 3 weeks ago - blond kid on Declaration

Basketball goals at Yorktown Baptist Church attracting undesireable people - minister needs a call to alert him

House break-ins and car break-ins are the most common events they deal with in our area, but non has occurred in Yorktown North

Speeding should be addressed by calling for a radar car - only short term fix

Scooters / go carts, if nuisances, should be reported to police for possible confiscation

Suggestions: Print up Block Watch t-shirts for walkers to wear; see Kroger for donation of disposable cameras


Issues for police:

Complaint on Saturday night rowdies at Bosnian bar at the Citgo strip mall - Hardy reports gunfire. Police will check on this site next Saturday and bring fire dept. to check for code violations.

Complaint on older boys trespassing on private property behind Bill Loudes' place - kids throwing rocks into his pool - stirring up dogs - jumping frnce to retrieve balls. Police recommend calling them to talk to parents of older boys.
