Yorktown North Maintenance Association

Minutes for March 20, 2008 meeting

Apr 15, 2008

Present: Charles Owen, Bob Davison, Marty Rothman, Mark Osborn, Vicki Welch, Linda Duncan, Donnie Faulkner, Billy Vincent, Aaron Walters for Murry?

Absent: Murry Harral

Guests: Lisa and Ashley Ennis, Karen Klain, Bob Henry, Doug Black, Jeff Vance

Guests reported various city ordinance violations at 7418 York River Rd., along with residents proposal to modify house and concrete front yard and install a satellite dish on the front of the house, in plain view from the street. Another issue aggravating to neighbors is the extra cars being parked on the court and creating barriers for the nearby residents. Multiple families are suspected to be living there, and a rooster has been seen there.

Linda will compose a letter and, upon approval by Directors, mail this to the homeowner at 7418 York River Rd., informing him/her of the neighborhood restrictions that they may be violating and city ordinances that they may be violating.

Minutes for January were read and approved (Vicki moved; Marty seconded; passed, as was the Treasurer's Report (Bob moved; Marty seconded; passed), which showed a bank balance of $53, 060.91 as of February 25, 2008.

Old Business

Vicki moved and Donnie seconded a motion to contact Charlie Mattingly, as per Officer Scott Sturgeon's referral, about having signs made with No Trespassing waivers / numbers to facilitate police enforcement of No Trespassing signs. Motion passed. We will need the cost of the signs, and Charles will investigate that.

Bob moved and Marty seconded the motion to have P&R plant 20 pine trees along National Turnpike at a cost of $150 per tree; passed. Bob agreed to talk to our irrigation company to restrict water to these trees until August so as not to over-water the new pines.

Donnie will be finding out about the cost of decals to cover our stop signs and speed limit signs to minimize vandalism.

New Business

Restrictions may need updating to include some guidelines about the placement of satellite dishes. We will consider this.

Charles agreed to show Linda's photographs of the lake erosion to a lawyer to see what our options may be, MSD claiming they are not responsible for the water flowing into our basin and eroding the basin shores.

Bob and Billy placed the new curfew signs above the Block Watch signs throughout the neighborhood. Excess signs are being offered for sale to other neighborhood associations. Scottsdale wants four and Candlelight wants seven.

Adjourned: 9:20 p.m.
Next meeting - April 17 - Epiphany - 7:00 p.m.
