Old Business

Donna Michael of the Ky. Dept. of Agriculture will meet Charles and Linda on March 27 at 2:00 p.m. to check soil along National Turnpike fence and make recommendations for trees most likely to survive well in that soil.

CCharles presented a copy of the letter he signed with MSD and Steve Emly for rip-rapping the other 200 feet on the East shore of the back lake and for our agreeing to grant temporary easement to MSD along the back-lake ditch where MSD will be laying large pipe.

It was agreed that the dead trees fallen on the fence along Mr. Johns' property would be removed by P&R and Penrod called to repair the fence that was broken by the trees. Also, P&R will be instructed by Charles to weed-eat along the rocks forming the shoreline along both lakes.

Clean-up Day is being scheduled for late May or early June, depending on when the Brightside office tells us the open dates are. Linda will check with Mary Byrne to schedule this date, and Charles will publish the date in the April issue of the newsletter. Charles will also include a report on the MSD rip-rapping project.

New Business:

Charles completed the letter to Secretary of State Trey Grayson concerning the renewal of our 501C3 status.

It will cost about $450 to repair the cannon at the entrance on Old Towne Rd. A company called Back Alley Ornamental Iron will do the repairs and the painting of the cannon.

Murry requested that Charles ask MSD when we can expect the rest of the rip-rappiing will be completed. Charles will call Steve Emly for a target date of completion.

Murry will be working on his pontoon boat in his driveway for about a week. He knows this violates a city ordinance as well as our restrictions, but it will be very temporary.

Adjurned - 7:50 p.m.
Next meeting - April 16 - 7:00 p.m. - Epiphany UMC
