HowToApplyCensus.jpg

Most hiring will take place February through May, 2009 so apply now if you want a chance at this opportunity.

If you need extra money in your wallet the 2010 Census is a great way to make money while doing something important.  Usually the work is in and for your local community.  The Job opportunity is perfect for anyone who is looking for part time employment or is between jobs.

Census Worker Pay

The US Census Bureau pays competative wages.  Workers will receive training, and the training is paid; so you will start making money immediately.  Workers receive a paycheck on a weekly basis.  It's only a temporary job but its good money and a lot of fun.  Also, having a Federal job on your resume can help in getting future jobs!

Census Jobs are Flexibile

There are lots of jobs available (for the last census the bureau hired over 860,000 temporary workers) and they are extremely flexible.  Addressing jobs are usually done during the day.  Often, housewives, students, retires, etc fulfill these jobs.  The flexibility is one of the aspects that makes it an attractive opportunity "It's an easy job to do after my children are in school; I love it!"  The schedule is completely up to the worker.  If you need to take a day off to attend your child's parent teacher conference, or for any other purpose, there is no problem!  You simply make up the work on a different day.
