Profile for BillOckham

I have lived in the Tyler Park area of Louisville for over 30 years. My concerns air pollution, noise pollution, speeding, and reducing traffic by encouraging the use of mass transit (hopefully rail someday) and bike trails and biking. For over half my life I have been involved in developing and strengthening neighborhood organizations. I believe strong neighborhood organizations and active citizen participation are vital to maintaining viable and communities both urban and rural. I have also been active in human rights and human welfare issues.

I believe in encouraging people to be involved in community affairs and in community action. I strongly believe in neighborhood organizations and know from past expierience that they are critical partners with government in solving communitywide and neighborhood problems.
