Sun Hills Landowner since 1968

After returning from my first tour of duty in Vietnam, 1967-68, we purchased 2 lots in Sun Hills Estates. Sun Hills Drive was a dirt road and there was only one house in the area. Gleneagle did not exist.

2nd Chairman, Architectural CC

Joe Greco had been the first Chairman of the ACC. I was appointed to replace him by MG Brown, one of the owners of the Sun Hills Estates Corporation. With a committee of 3, we reviewed home plans submitted by early homebuilders in Sun Hills for the next 4 years.

Sun Hills Association

Along with Ginny Markle, homeowners formed the Association in 1981 (am I right, Ginny?) We approved an exception to our covenants to permit a fire station to be built and manned on donated Sun Hills property. As a result, we had immediate access to fire protection and our property taxes were reduced significantly.
