Near West Side Community Committee

I walked around the big lake yesterday and it is even worse.  It looks like green algae around the sides.  When has the lakes been treated with whatever was used in the past?  This is the worse I have seen the lake in years.  Who takes responsibilty?  Is there a lake chairman any more?

I apologize for not responding sooner, but my plate has been full with handling damage from the storms at my home and also the HOA common areas.  My focus has been on clean-up, getting estimates, and meeting with workers and insurance adjusters.  I will call the company that takes care of the lakes today.  I did talk to our landscape person that has been very helpful in the clean-up process, and he said the lakes were getting bad before the rains, but since the rains they are much better.  I will look at them today when I meet with the insurance adjuster. Thank you.

Talked to the pond guy today.  He was out there checking it.  He said the pond doesn't look bad at all, but, if I undersood him correctly, he couldn't do much today because there is still water flowing.  He will check on it again in 2 weeks.  If you notice it looking bad, please let me know and I can contact him and he will come back out.
