Read this...it's GOLD BABY! : )

MORE INTERESTING FACTS (don't read this unless you have some ulcer medication at hand): There's a lease agreement between the CCHOA and Phoenix Holdings, Inc. (formerly controlled by Steve Bartlett) whereby our CCHOA leased the space currently occupied at 5919 LaCrosse (Suite 100 & Suite 200) by the Circle C Landscape Company and Full Circle Management to Phoenix for 10 years at a rate of $100.00 a month.

1)?  When the lease was executed, Steve Bartlett was still listed as the registered agent of Phoenix Holdings while on the board of the CCHOA (he has since changed it to Brad Beutel in May of this year).?  Self-dealing??  Where does this show up in the auditor's report? (And where is the 2002 auditor's report, anyway??  According to the minutes of the meeting of the board for January, it was ordered over 6 months ago.?  Why is it taking so long?) HHHmmm

2)?  The space being leased is about 500 or more square feet, resulting in a lease rate of $0.20/sq. ft. for the only commercial space available in Circle C! It looks like we are paying the utilities there as well.?  According to Susan Hoover she's leasing the space there from Phoenix Holdings. HHHmmmm

One hand washes the other...with your money. If these issues aren't self conflict deals, what is?!?

Oh yea, I almost forgot....the swim team sucks. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Cindy, Susan and the other one.

It's the POOL that sucks!

The the POOL is what sucks, people!

The pool is nearly useless for SCUBA lessons. It's not deep enough to make your ears pop. This pool was never designed for pleasure - it's more like a dog run run with chain link fence around it. I was there on Sunday and I did get the email notice, on Wednesday ? Not much notice and certainly no opporuntunity to object or comment.

I spent most of my time watching kids in the baby pool - trying to keep them from knocking their teeth out or breaking an arm on the cement pool. Then one of the critters crapped in the pool - had to bail out ! The pool is crap. I love the landscaping, the Cafe (as long as you don' t have to go inside - poor kids! )

But, the pool sucks big time. It's not built for fun and it's too expensive any way you look at it. Someone hung this loser around are necks and we are never going to be able to get rid of. Maybe we can dig it up and build something everyone can enjoy, but again, I hate to think what that would cost.

Bad planning = Another Gary Bradley ''gift'' we don't need. You all deserve more and better ammenities . . our's are laughable at this point!

Why don't we have pools where people live ?

Why do people have to park on La Cross and Escarpment to use the pool ?

Why does this pool cost 1/4 our our HOA budget every year ?

Committee Involved

The decision to hold the scuba diving event was part of the pool/recreation committee. I do not know the details. I read about it in the committee report.

I believe these types of events are great for the teens. We all agree that they need more activities.

Now the problem is we don't have an efective way to communicate to our entire neighborhood. I believe most people would not have objected if they knew the pool would be in use during those hours. The use of an incomplete email system is not the way to inform us of events. We have to become creative. We need to get information to all the neighbors. Any suggestions?

Yes its a problem

Your point is well taken about the communication breakdowns but the issue still is that MOST of the time the pool is being used by any other event then leisure swimming. ESPECIALLY weekends when most people want to sit and relax swim with the family or whatever. Maybe an event such as that could have been done after school hours in summer when there are longer days or better yet, take a poll of EVERY homeowner in CCR. See what they want. I'll betcha that it is not scuba lessons or swim teams. I am sure that the BOD have that survey even though many have not showed interest to take the survey.
