As we did last month, I am again asking everyone to send me your CCHOA PROXY and BALLOT.

Just like last time, you can sign your CCHOA proxy to me and drop it off at my house or call me and I'll come pick it up anytime.

(1) SIgn the Proxy and date it.
(2) Write-in my name on the line provided (Do not check off Jim O'Reilly's name)

You can drop off your proxy at the CCHOA office (they have a big mail box for coorespondence), but, it would be better to let me collect them up.

What we did last month, was to make copies of all the Proxies and then we put them on a computer spreadsheet.

Doing this allows us to track your votes and make sure that they all get counted properly. It's much more complicated this time, so it's even more important that you help us vote with a large block of votes.

(This also makes it easier to count the millions of votes that will be cast in this MOST important election of all time for CCHOA).

Thank you for your past support. We got Quentin Fennessy elected this way, but by a slim margin. The difference between Quentin getting elected or not, was decided by as few as 12 average sized homes !!!

Lets make a clean sweep.

Asign your PROXY to me and we'll have 5 new directors in office, who already are working together as a team, to turn CCHOA into the friendly, member oriented association that it is supposed to be.

These 5 candidates came together in the last week, with a common platform. They all signed the Code of Ethics that was recommended by the By-Laws committee (even though CCHOA has yet to adopt that Code).

The five canidates are:

Chris Dietz - already a community leader in Vintage Place and a new Dad ! His campaign flyers and web site were being circulated 3 weeks ago. Chris has the technical background to bring our CCHOA web site up to date quickly and other ideas on how to improve communications to and from the organization and the BOD.

Alton ''A.E.'' Martin - A well known and experienced non-profit board member, who brings fresh ideas and proven leadership to CCHOA. Alton is well known in Circle C and he knows all the history behind the formative years in Circle C Ranch, so be brings leadership and history with him.

Mary Goehring - A Senior Auditor at LCRA and expert in office management, efficiency, and the kind of soft skills our CCHOA office can benefit from. She highly organized and can think on her feet. Leave it to Mary to lead the review of your CCHOA books!

Steve Urban - A professional lawyer who has been active all year in our efforts to bring accountablity, fairness, and order to our CCHOA. Steve lead previous Town Hall meetings, donated his resources on several occassions, and demonstrated Roberts Rules of Order for running an orderly meeting. You saw him in action at the Feburary CCHOA meeting, working with the Parlemenarians while we debated the new By-Laws.

Ed Scruggs - A professional Clinical Research Monitor and Quality Assurance expert, you may remember his enthusiastic and passionate comments during the By-Laws debates. Ed has a knack for being proactive and finding the positive characteristics in other people and making his points, while working as a team player.

Where are the proxies?

Russ

As soon as mine comes I will sign it over to you to vote for the 5 candidates you have listed.

My questions (to the BOD): where are the ballots and proxies? Who is in charge of sending them out, Giles & Shea, Denise Nordstrom, Gary Bradley, who?

Does anyone care that the Board is STILL not following Texas non-profit corporation law? They have obviously not learned from past experience. Who is the lawyer advising our Board? Is it the same bumbling lawyer who told them that she saw no reason not to illegally cap the votes? When the next lawsuit is filed to enforce our covenants and the law because the board won't do it, there had better be a claim made on our insurance policy to defend this time.

PROXY package - it's all white

I nearly tossed my proxy package, again! It came in a totally unfamiliar package that looked like one of those stock or mutual fund prospectouses. I generally toss those kinds of things in the trash.

But, wait, it had a letter from Quentin Fennessy on the front. Good thing I took a second look.

Hey folks, that white booklet is really imporant to you and your HOA's future.

The first page is the official letter from the CCHOA Treasurer - Quentin. The back side of that tear-off page is your PROXY. Please save it for me !!

I NEED YOUR PROXY !!

If you will sign that proxy and put my name on it, I'll come pick it up.

The next 34 pages are the Biographies and answers to identical questions, that the CCHOA Nominations committee solicited from each of the 11 nomoinee that they have placed on the ballot.

If you will sign over your PROXY to me, I will add your votes to a big block of votes that will go towards the best 5 of the 11 candidates for our board of directors.

If you do decide to attend the members meeting, please remember that your PROXY has to be received 2 days before the meeting. This is to give the staff time to prepare for the voting at the annual members meeting.

This change is new!

You can still revoke your proxy when you arrive at the meeting, but just in case, please sign it over to me, or one of the 5 board members who are running as a group.

Chris Dietz, Alton Martin, Mary Goehring, Ed Scruggs, and Steve Urban.

They are all in agreement on 6 major campaign items: Playscapes, the Pool, Schools, Open Communications, Open Bidding, and all 5 of them have signed the Code of Ethics.

I will be voting for those 5 candidates and I'll be going door to door, with them and other volunteers, to collect your Proxies. Please have them signed and ready to go, or place them in a plastic bag (newspapers come in plastic bags) and leave them under your door mat. We have volunteers who will be more than happy to drive by and pick them up.

Thank You so much.

This is going to be a great month for CCHOA changes and improvements. You'll see more on the web sites, you'll have an opportunity to chat without fear of personal attacks, and we'll be able to vote and take meaningful polls, frequently, so that they BOD does not have to act without your opinions on everything that matters. And to me, it ALL matters!

Cheers,
Now go get some Pizza until this rain lets up.
