Vote in person, tonight 3/24/04

The deadline for turning in your Proxy has passed (5pm last night).

I regret that a few people delivered their proxies too late from me to submit, therefore, I have advised them that they must vote in person, tonight.

You should be able to get a ballot after a short wait in line (it took me 12 minutes last month, but we only had half the turn out that I expect tonight). As soon as you get your ballot, you can fill it out (check of 5 names) and turn it back in. Ballots will be received all night until the meeting is over (no later than 10pm).

Each candidate for director will be permited 5 minutes to speak. For 11 candidates, that will take at least a full hour. The rest of the meeting will be devoted to CCHOA matters, including a brief review of the budget for 2004. PLEASE NOTE THE LEGAL EXPENSES FOR 2003 !!

Expect brief reports on committee activities - they have been very busy in the last year. You can expect a report on the HEB project and Escarpment Village from Andi Rausch. A Landscape report from Susan Hoover, and a Pool report.

Don't expect a report from the Parks committee - the chairman, Dwayne Dow, as resigned. As of today, that committee chair postition is unfilled. Interested ? Feel qualified, call or write CCHOA or Don Abrams (or me).

Expect updates and changes in the CCHOA web site. The board approved moving forward with the Communications committee's recommendations. Don't expect a chat site, however, as that idea is still in question (nobody want's to censor it, but how else to monitor the posts and force community standards on all posters. BTW, it will not be annonymous, either.)

See you tonight. This is an unprecendented election - you will escentially choosing the board that will work with Jim O'Reilly and Quentin Fennessy.
