If anyone needs to see visible evidence of the amount of trash in our Bay Crest canals, it was on display Saturday morning, 3/8/08. The high winds and high tide pushed about a truckload of trash and debris up onto the boat ramp. The Parks Service was notified and hopefully they will clean it up, for it presents a hazard to anyone trying to launch a boat at that site.
Where does it all come from? Some of it come from residents of Bay Crest, no doubt, but most of it probably comes off the main roads and down Woods Creek, which runs just west of Driftwood Drive.
